Edit 02/26: Although at the time they were not helpful, and I did end up getting it sorted out with another shop, the owners did contact me and attempt to assist me. At the very least, I appreciate that they were willing to come back and try to be helpful.
EASILY the best music shop in the Capital Region with helpful people, great constantly updating stock, and wide variety. I especially love their surprisingly wide selection of bluegrass instruments and mandolins. Also the most reasonable prices in the area, with especially fair pricing on used instruments.
I wish I could give them 10 Stars. Purchased a used PRS limited run Mark Holcomb SE guitar. This was a Christmas Present form my Son, the pics did not give this guitar justice. This thing was priced what I feel way below what the guitar is actually worth and also condition IMO was brand new.

I was about ready to purchase the guitar from a popular online music store and along with the purchase, pay an extra $100 for a professional setup. I decided to take one more look around to see if there was a better option. I found Parkway Music.
Selling or trading gear at Parkway Music
Parkway Music comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
