What's on the wall
“Just went here the first time on Saturday, went looking for vintage albums and was surprisingly disappointed, not a real good selection and what they did have was subpar.”
What players say again and again
“They always have the CDs that I want to add to my collection at reasonable prices.”
From the reviews
My son recently mentioned he wanted a record player and vinyl records during a conversation. I went over to Rasputin Music and this place was a treasure trove. I not only found him tons of old school R&B records but this cool vintage looking record player that's bluetooth with cassette player as well.
Just went here the first time on Saturday, went looking for vintage albums and was surprisingly disappointed, not a real good selection and what they did have was subpar. If you are looking new albums they have quite a selection. New larger store had huge selection of CD’s, movies and a large bookstore section.
Rating it based of their wide selection. Staff can be off putting at times but they also seem super busy. Huge VHS selection 😊
They have interesting and rare books and DVDs to choose from. The clothing prices are reasonable. A great atmosphere. Fun place to go and the staff are really interested in your wants and needs.
Selling or trading gear at Rasputin Music
Rasputin Music comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
