From the reviews
If you’re in need of setup or repair on your guitars, go see Josh! He communicates quickly and clearly, gives you a clear and honest assessment of where your instruments are at, and does great work at a reasonable price. Josh has setup a couple of my guitars, breathing new life into them.
I do not normally leave comments, but I will absolutely make an exception for Reflection Guitars. Outstanding service! I had Josh work on 3 of my guitars and his work was nothing short of amazing. Josh is absolutely a master at his craft and his meticulous attention to details is demonstrated in the effort.
Josh, the luthier at Reflection Guitars, recently upgraded the nut and saddle on my Yamaha LS-TA acoustic guitar from urea to bone. I’m very happy with the results. They include: The tone on my guitar is noticeably improved - increased sustain, clearer highs, and richer harmonics.
Josh (the owner) did an outstanding job of addressing some issues I had with my aging acoustic Yamaha guitar. I asked him to reduce the action on the strings that had developed over the years due to the neck moving a bit.
Selling or trading gear at Reflection Guitars
Reflection Guitars comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
