Recently brought a guitar in for a new nut, fret polish, and a set up. The entire experience was wonderful, friendly service, fast turnaround time, and my guitar came out playing like a dream. He made sure I liked the action before I left the store, it was perfect!
I've been taking guitars to Rockhaus for 7 years now. Every single guitar Rusty has worked on has been fantastic when I got it back. He has performed cosmetic repairs, warranty repairs, basic setups, etc. Turn around time is always fast, and prices are extremely fair.
First time meeting Rusty, he gave me a great recommendation on strings, sold me a buffer pedal I'd never seen before, and offered to help me fix a delay pedal I was having trouble with. Cool shop too. Great experience!
Just recently purchased a used PRS Kingfisher Bass from Rockhaus. VERY good experience from all aspects. 1) The guitar arrived very well packaged, and on time. 2) The guitar was described as in very good condition. I find the guitar to be in Excellent condition! Selling or trading gear at Rockhaus Guitars & Drums
Rockhaus Guitars & Drums comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
