What's on the wall
“Lots of modern vinyls and hidden collectors records.”
From the reviews
so so so cute and such a sweet staff person on shift while i was there. it’s a small store so i ended up talking to her while i was browsing what i had. they also have coffee!!! i ended up only getting one record since it was a smaller selection while i was there but i would definitely come back
Great selection of music and genres. Loved the coffee from their excellent Barista Amber. If you’re heading to the island you’ve got to stop in at one of their locations. Great vibes
Hard to describe this place. Is it a coffee shop with great music? Is it a music shop with good coffee? Yes. It has a vibe all its own, and I really hope it holds on to it. Keep doing your own thing!
Rockin Ruby looks small but is surprisingly well stocked. I was finishing a two week long backpacking trip and thought I would just run in and check it out. What I didn’t expect was to find an out of print box set I really wanted and no way to get it home.
Selling or trading gear at Rockin' Ruby's Records - Bainbridge Island
Rockin' Ruby's Records - Bainbridge Island comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
