Ruger Custom Guitars

Bob Ruger fixed up my homemade guitar by adjusting the bridge, shifting the neck, and making a new nut. I did a pretty amateur job with the tools that I had at the time, but his corrections made it playable and now I can't put it down. Bob himself is a luthier and runs his shop out of his home in Santa Fe.

Bob Ruger is an excellent guitar luthier and a good man. Highly knowledgeable and skilled. High standards (he's the son of a German machinist!). He makes custom electric guitars as well as doing setup, repair, and restoration work on both electric and acoustic guitars. He's done work for some big artists.

It is our great good fortune that a first class luthier has recently relocated to the Lago Mar /Texas City area! Bob Ruger recently completed a repair on my Gibson L7 archtop. Bob is not only an artist and a fine craftsman, he happens to be a pleasure to deal with.

Great experience every time. He’s way more than just a guitar tech, he can basically create anything you can dream of on your guitar. Highly highly recommend
