Hello, Let me start off by saying that it is very unfortunate that several people have left poor reviews regarding their experiences with SHAR music. Second, I came in on 10/23/25 only to look at your cello inventory, and that my involvement in playing the cello has been highly sporadic since the 1980’s.
I teach violin and viola and I'm now taking cello lessons so I can teach it too. I have to laugh because I'm 69 and not very big. Toting a cello around the college campus is not easy for me. We all laugh and joke about it. I've been renting one and just bought a cello through Shar. I can't wait to get it!!
I'm able to order items easily and strings arrive quickly. This time, the order was sheet music for Carson City Symphony. We received a discount as well as free shipping. This is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization, so I'm attaching our tax exempt letter for future purchases.
I’m doing an in home trial on some bows. Mike has been very helpful in picking out some bows based on my description of what I’m looking for and my skill level. We have had several phone conversations, and he has always been patient and informative with all my questions. Picked this one with the help of my teacher.

Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
