Typically I stay to vinyl stores in Ballard but really glad I stumbled into this place. Silver Platters has a great selection in vinyl records and from what I could see compact discs too. Definitely will be returning for future vinyl purchases. Staff was really great too AND they have a nice reward system.
Love this location! Silver Platters is my go-to record store for awhile now, staff are friendly, great selection of product, and usually playing some great stuff over the speakers. I appreciate the help I receive when looking for things and the recommendations I get.
Really good record store in Lynnwood. Big selection. The used records are mixed in with the new so you don’t have to hunt through multiple sections to find an artist or album you are looking for. Staff is nice and knowledgeable, easily providing suggestions based on what we were already purchasing.
Great service, great selection, regular deals, and anything not on the shelves can be easily ordered for pickup. One of the only places for physical media with a dedicated metal section. (Edit: spelling)
Selling or trading gear at Silver Platters Lynnwood
Silver Platters Lynnwood comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
