From the reviews
This is a wonderfully curated shop dedicated to enriching the community with essential music. The owners' attentiveness to providing a soulful shopping experience is evident in every detail, right down to the music playing overhead and the warm, vibrant colors inviting you inside.
This place is simply the best. The most friend and helpful staff. If they don’t have something you’re looking for out on display they likely can find it for you downstairs so be sure to ask. All used records are minimum VG+ if not NM in a lot of cases so you know you’re getting quality.
Awesome little store with a killer selection of vintage records as well as new releases. I prefer to collect used records in good condition whenever possible (idk, they just feel more "special" than new copies lol) and Slant has a GREAT selection of well-cared-for used records.
Top notch store with quality merchandise! I drive two hours to get here, as we don’t have anything similar in the town I live in, but truly worth stopping. They have a great selection of every genre, and the staff are very knowledgeable and quite helpful.
Selling or trading gear at Slant Street Records
Slant Street Records comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
