From the reviews
The store is amazingly clean and organized. They stock such a wonderful variety of great products. The staff is EXCELLENT, well mannered, courteous; they go above and beyond to answer questions and to be as helpful as possible.
They offered me the best price for a loan BY FAR. Other shops didn’t even come close. This is the place to go. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. They helped me out when I was in a tough spot, I seriously cannot recommend this shop enough.
I've come here multiple times in the last 3 years and Rob has always taken amazing care of me. It pays to come to the same place. The staff is courteous and always willing to help whatever they can do and I always find amazing deals inside as well. I highly recommend coming here. The drive is worth it!
The gentlemen working the front were so friendly and helpful. They ensured I received the loan that I asked for. They asked me how much I needed and ensured I received that with the items I brought in. I would definitely recommend to anyone whether they were buying or selling to come in to this location.
Selling or trading gear at Smart Pawn & Jewelry
Smart Pawn & Jewelry comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
