I can’t say enough about Chris’s work. He’s handled several of my guitars, and every single one came back playing and sounding better than ever. But the real standout was what he did for my family’s 100‑year‑old banjo.
Mr. Szekely has worked on two instruments for me, a 5 string fretless bass and an acoustic guitar. Both instruments had been set up by others in the recent past, but still had issues. The improvement after I got my instruments back from Mr. Szekely was immediately noticeable.
Chris brought two of my guitars back from the dead. I really want sure they could be fixed. Fantastic work. He listens to exactly what you want done. Any issues he finds he contacts you . He gives you his opinion and options . He doesn’t just do things because he thinks it’s the way. He leaves it all up to you.
My Cordoba GK Studio classical guitar developed fret buzzing on different parts of the neck. The intonation also seemed off, and I just didn't like the "sound" anymore. Time for a serious setup.
