1st thing I will say is that when you arrive at Tafty's go into the big building (Tafty's isn't labelled on the front that I saw). Then follow the signs that are on the inside (Tafty's is upstairs). Experience: Overall awesome. I messaged about an Acoustic Setup. I got a quick reply back.
I would highly recommend Tafty’s Home for Wayward Guitars to anyone looking for quality service, fair pricing and excellent communication. Gary has done quite a bit of solid repair work on my instruments, and just recently completed a fabulous custom build for me.
Gary's great! He is a master artist of custom guitars. I have bought guitars, have setups done, and he does amazing work at rebuilding basket cases that most would trash. Everything that leaves his shop is top quality. He did my kit guitar and she's a beautiful thing! I would not go to anyone else but Tafty's.
For Christmas, I brought my two sons to Tafty's Electric Guitar Set-up and Maintenance course. It was a great experience for us and we came away confident in our ability to work on our guitars and keep them looking and playing their best. I never thought I'd be comfortable adjusting the truss rod on my guitars!
