From the reviews
I was in the market to upgrade to a better guitar. I found this place and I'm so glad I did. The space is gorgeous and welcoming. Definitely a place that makes you want to linger a little longer. Doug spent so much personalized time with me helping me find "the one". I am extremely happy with my new guitar and gear.
We hosted our son’s 2nd birthday at Crossroads Guitar & Art and it truly exceeded every expectation we had! We first discovered Crossroads through Tunes for Tots, which quickly became one of our favorite ways to spend Saturday mornings.
We recently hosted my daughter's 16th birthday at The Crossroads, and I can't say enough positive things about it! The "customer service" (for lack of a better word, because it felt much more friendly and personal than that) was professional, helpful, accommodating and, incredibly supportive. The atmosphere...
We LOVE the Crossroads. My son and I love their tunes for tots classes. The store is also an amazing venue for events. We had to book a place due to inclement weather and Doug was very accommodating especially last minute. He took care of everything and made it as stress-free as possible.
Selling or trading gear at The Crossroads Guitars and Art
The Crossroads Guitars and Art comes up for buying and trading used gear, going by their listing and players’ reviews. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
Lessons at The Crossroads Guitars and Art
Reviews and the store's own info mention lessons at The Crossroads Guitars and Art. If you're signing up a beginner (or restarting yourself), a quick call ahead answers the three things that matter: which instruments they teach, whether the schedule has openings at the time you actually need, and what a first lesson costs. There's no wrong first guitar — a good teacher will happily work with whatever you walk in with, and a shop that teaches usually keeps affordable starter instruments and rentals on hand for exactly this reason.
