Honestly I brought my family here at the tail end of our trip to HHI just mostly to be funny and to get a fun reaction out of my uber conservative very straight laced parents. The tour was awesome and we all agreed that this was the highlight of our trip.
One great and fun place to stop. Being a kazoo aficionado, I found the place fantastic! Walked through the small and informative museum. Made my own personal kazoo with the museum logo. A treasure for sure. Didn't do the tour, but really didn't need to. Staff was great, funny and informative. Wow!
Just finished a tour of the store. Paul was great! Interesting information. Sales staff was also very helpful. Do not know the name of the woman who helped me purchase a number of Patriotic Kazoos, but she was very helpful!
Way beyond anything we expected. Admittedly we thought this would be a goofy way to spend 30 minutes. But we were here for over an hour, exploring the museum, checking out the gift shop, and for most of the time getting a great tour from Paul.
Selling or trading gear at The Kazoobie Kazoo Factory, Museum, and Gift Shop
The Kazoobie Kazoo Factory, Museum, and Gift Shop comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
