From the reviews
I can't say enough good things about the Laboratory. I am blown away at how well our son is playing guitar in such a short time. He absolutely enjoys his lesson and his instructor Stefan is a big part of it. He is patient, kind and supportive which helps our son learn.
Incredible set of guys over here at the Laboratory. Easily the best shop in South Jersey. Probably the best shop in ALL of NJ. They have a major league roster of guys that can help you with anything from percussion to keys to strings to vocals to pedals to amps to cables and on and on.
Support your local music shop! I've gotten 3 basses set up at The Lab and have traded in gear, and each time I've been in for one purpose or another has been really smooth and I usually wind up leaving feeling better than before I entered. The staff is very accommodating, very knowledgeable, and very kind.
My son has taken guitar lessons here for a year and a half with Dave. He has learned so much in that time! Quality and dedicated instruction. We have also visited the store for purchases and repairs. My questions were always answered very thoroughly. They were extremely helpful when we upgraded my son to a new guitar.
Lessons at The Laboratory
Reviews and the store's own info mention lessons at The Laboratory. If you're signing up a beginner (or restarting yourself), a quick call ahead answers the three things that matter: which instruments they teach, whether the schedule has openings at the time you actually need, and what a first lesson costs. There's no wrong first guitar — a good teacher will happily work with whatever you walk in with, and a shop that teaches usually keeps affordable starter instruments and rentals on hand for exactly this reason.
