THE MELODY MAKER coffee & guitar

The Melody Maker is a great thing for a community. When I was a teenager, my hometown had a coffee shop with an open mic night, and that allowed my friends and I to get comfortable on stage playing rock. This shop is even cooler. It's rock and roll.

Do you need to urban bushwhack a bit to find this spot? Yes - just follow the puppies (because when have puppies ever let you down?). I came prepared (from the website's reviews) for the classically cliched punk rock experience - sneak in, steal a coffee, get boot stomped by the staff).

When did Clinton, MA turn into such a cool little town? JUNE 6th, that's when! This is more than a coffee shop with kickass breakfast grub. They have guitars! And the nicest staff who treats you like you're one of the cool kids the second you walk in. The coffee is fresh, locally roasted, and amazing.

Atmosphere 5 Star Service 5 Star Food 5 Star You might think you're in a trendy city like Austin TX or a hip part of NYC, but you're close to home in a place you've been searching for. The building is cool, the coffee is hot, the guitars are neat and the service it great.
