What's on the wall
“My recent purchase of a new Bass Trombone was a first class experience including speedy air shipment by FedEx, included in the price of the horn.”
“Shipping: They used Fed-Ex 2-Day shipping and had it shipped the next business day after purchase.”
“I decided to upgrade my saxophone and they went above and beyond to ensure I knew exactly what I was getting into and exactly what to expect.”
From the reviews
I recently decided to look for a new Piccolo Trumpet, having played a 1980s Benge for many years. I made an audition appointment at The Mighty Quinn as they had several in stock - I couldn't find any other shops in the OR/WA area with any (I live closer to Portland).
Dealing with THE mighty Quinn Brass &Winds staff was a great experience (despite my nasty demeanor at the time). Matt, Suzanne, and Jennifer went above and beyond all expectations and worked both quickly and efficiently to make my sale not only successful, but also calming for this flustered old man.
The Baritone Saxophone I ordered came quickly and well packaged. The instrument was in great condition and everything I wanted. Payment plans were available and clearly explained.
The Mighty Quinn was highly recommended by my son’s music teacher. We got exactly what we needed and staff were able to help be when my discount code wasn’t working.
Selling or trading gear at The Mighty Quinn Brass and Winds
The Mighty Quinn Brass and Winds comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
