I'm a bit technically impaired and so was a bit trepidatious when seeing Darrel's online appointment booking and payment features. I decided to take a leap of faith as a friend of mine had heard good things about his luthier work. Boy I was not disappointed.
Darrell Pope at Village Luthier in Langley is a wonderful new addition to whidbey! He did an amazing refret job on my Taylor 814 which made it feel like a new guitar. He also quickly repaired the pickup in my Taylor 710, so that I could play a gig with it while waiting for the other work.
I took my Martin HD 28 custom into Darrell-The Village Luthier. This will be my fourth time coming here and I will not go anywhere else if I can help it. Getting my guitars back after being set up by Darrell is like putting on an old pair of boots that just fit perfectly. There’s no better description.
This is a very organized, and professional service! Darrell at The Village Luthier installed a pickup in my acoustic guitar and made adjustments to the guitar that improved the "action". He spent time with me going over my installation options and scheduled me in a way that had very quick turnaround.
