I’ve taken my son’s electric bass guitar to John twice now and I couldn't be happier with the quality of his work. The first time I took it in, he had the solder work done the same day, and the second time for an unrelated issue was just a one day turnaround; the man works quickly!
I can't speak highly enough of John and his business. For anyone seeking attentive, detailed, old-school service, John delivers. He did an amazing job repairing both a guitar and an amplifier for a close friend, all at a fair price and with an excellent turnaround time.
John helped me with a JCM2000 that was overheating and blowing breakers. Classic bias drift issue. John replaced capacitors and modified the board to better dissipate the heat. Cleaned everything else up too. Amp works and sounds great. John is communicative and forthcoming about why he knows and what he doesn’t know.
I have known John for a couple of years. I have had him modify several guitars of mine as well as performing set ups of my guitars. John, being an established musician, easily understands what modification or adjustments you are looking for. I recently purchased a custom built Telecaster guitar by John.
