I don't normally write reviews, but my experience with Trusted Pawn on Oakland Boulevard in Oakland Park was so positive that I felt compelled to share it. The shop is not only extremely well organized, but also very eclectic and welcoming.
I had the pleasure of meeting the owner today and he made my experience great! I quickly did a little Google search because I didn’t want to go to just any pawnshop and have never been to one. He has great reviews except for one which I was surprised about and gave him the benefit of the doubt by visiting.
Alex and his brother took care of me today as I needed some money to pay some bills both gentleman offered me water (2x) a can of soda a whole personal pizza from dominos on top of taking my items off my hands and helping me as a human being to get some of my issues taken care of today I can’t express the gratitude…
I recently went in to sell some silver pieces. They could've offered me almost nothing and I would've taken it, but they were honest and didn't take advantage of me. More than that, they were respectful and kind.

Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
