My visits here were very neutral and found lots of amazing things. I usually just check out DVDs nowadays.I have to say that the staff are very helpful and my small talk with them wasn't awkward and very humble.
I take my son here almost weekly. What they have is always a hit or miss, but it makes it feel like Christmas when you find something that you've been looking for. Also, the staff is really great, you can hang out and talk about all the things you're obsessed with and they are subject matter experts. Great vibe.
So I stopped in here to browse and kill a little time while my phone was being fixed. Little did I know this amazing gal would keep me talking for a couple of hours😂! Bekah was amazing to talk to and had knowledge on so many movies, music, shows and games! One of the best conversations I’ve had in a long time!
Went in to sell a switch. Almost brand new. Got about $85 back for it. Better sell prices here than GameStop. Didn't look around much but had pleasant conversation about old life and new games. Overall I had a good experience.
Selling or trading gear at Vintage Stock
Vintage Stock comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
