“A trip to St Clair Square always means a trip to Vintage Stock!”
From the reviews
A trip to St Clair Square always means a trip to Vintage Stock! I love the stock and the workers are usually nice, but I remember SAM. Shes the bees knees and goes out of her to make sure you're walking out happy. Bossing it out all alone with a packed store still shining! Bonus points when Sams there!!!
I love going to this store for DnD merch, cards and anime. I love all of the workers here. They really deal with some difficult people and deserve some love.
Sam was awesome. We got to have them as our helper today and they were in the store alone today. They are awesome and deserve a raise.
Just wanted to give a shout out to Sam! The store was busy, but she kept her cool, and just had that infectious good energy. You don’t find people like her often. Even though there was a line, everyone was patient and I think that’s because of the energy she was giving off.
Selling or trading gear at Vintage Stock
Vintage Stock comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
