Very nice place Mr Todd and Mrs Nova are very knowledgeable and dedicated in their trade. I recently was there to have a fix My daughter's bass from school. Mr. Todd was trying to get it fixed right at the moment, but I told him there was no urgency for the instrument and I could come back in another time.
Todd is an excellent musician, an excellent repairman, and really takes care of his customers, especially the little ones, just starting to play. He's great with their parents. I think most of his business is geared towards school orchestras, but as a professional bass player, he's the guy I go to every time!
Nicole Taylor is the best luthier in Austin and Todd Sloan is the warmest, funniest shopowner I have ever met. These people make every family that comes to the shop feel completely at home and they take great care of everyone.
Went in with an unusual instrument (cavaquinho) and they were SO helpful! I had popped the same string twice and was super frustrated with having to buy a new pack every time but he figured out a guitar string that would work and strung it for me! 10/10 will definitely go there for all my strings from now on!
