I go to Zmuff Guitars for all my set-up and repairs. I'm a touring musician and often need the right work done quickly and I can always count on Zach. I've had many guitars and banjos set-up, cracks repaired, scratches buffed out, bridges built, frets installed, necks removed and reset, AND had a beautiful antique…
I brought my beloved Nashville Telecaster to Zach to have my Tusq nut lowered. I had installed it myself and my guitar was out of tune when playing open chords. Upon inspection, Zach also noticed that several of my lower frets were extremely worn and this was only making things worse.
Zach has worked on seven of my guitars – acoustics and electrics – and the results have always been tiptop. The work he’s done for me includes a refret, a neck reset, installing a pickup, setups, crack repairs, regluing a bridge and bridge plate that were lifting, and regluing loose braces.
I brought Zach a broken guitar, my 1952 Martin 0017. I’d had it since 1993. It was my baby, my Stella Blue. The sound board was cracked against the grain, and it was hosed. Zach gave it a new spruce top and bracing, so now it’s an 0018.
