Mike has worked on many of my guitars and I am a lifelong professional guitarist who has toured for many years and spoiled on my Memphis Luthiers where I am from, one of which went on to run the custom shop at PRS.
I bought a Martin OM-42 last summer and the guitar is my pride and joy. It looks and sounds absolutely beautiful. The set-up from the Martin factory was not bad, but it was a little hard on the fingers and I wanted to get a good, professional adjustment to improve play-ability.
I recently had the pleasure of having Mike, owner of ‘A String Instrument Repair’, make some repairs to my Fender Stratocaster. I brought it in as the switch for the pickups, was inoperable. It turned out the guitar needed additional work which I was not aware of, but certainly required.
Mike is the best luthier I've ever worked with and I tried a lot in different states. I tried a few top notch luthiers in LA and they all noobs in comparison with Mike. They all just took money from saying this is all we could do, leaving me with my problem. And Mike the only one did an incredible job with my guitar.
