I take my vintage guitars and basses to Lance and only Lance. I drive 4 hours each way and pass about 30 other guitar shops in order to get there. If that doesn’t tell you what you need to know, nothing will. I’ll try anyway since you’ve read this much... Lance knows his stuff.
I’ve brought my guitars to a lot of different lutheries over the years. While asking other players, trying to find the best one to go to, Acreman Guitars was the recommendation 8 out of 10 times. The other times was someone saying they could do it, or “I know a guitar tech that could set ya up.
