From the reviews
Absolutely awesome store! I moved to the Auburn/Opelika area four years ago from Chicago, where we had a lot of stores like this and so I was ecstatic when I saw Almost Anything come up in a Google search.
This is a great place. Owner knows a lot. Staff friendly but the don't hassle you. If you like pre-code horror comics this man has it. I got a Lo Pan (from the movie big trouble in little China) action figure as a last minute gift for a buddy for Christmas bc I knew he wouldn't have it and the store was selling it at…
I felt like a kid in a candy store walking in. They have books, comics, cards, action figures and collectibles, game systems and games and far more. Every time I turned around I saw something else that looked awesome. The owner was knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. This store is well named and worth checking out.
Every single time I go in I am blown away with the courtesy, knowledge, and helpfulness of the staff. Great selection of video games of all eras and fair prices. Excellent trade policies as well. My 12 yo son and I are frequent flyers there and will be for years to come.
Selling or trading gear at Almost Anything
Almost Anything comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
