“Although we live in New Hampshire, I will definitely consider contacting Tyler at Spicer's for any musical purchases and/or online lessons in the future.”
“The symbolism (no pun intended) beats to the drum of the passion most artist have before they breach the door.”
“A few weeks before Christmas, my daughter asked for a light up keyboard.”

“I’ve been a musician for 40 years and this store is nothing like others that try to treat beginners like they aren’t worthy.”
From the reviews
I have been trying to teach myself guitar on a cheap acoustic that I picked up from a pawnshop awhile ago. The action on the guitar was pretty intense and it rattled like crazy, which made practicing a bit of an unpleasant experience. I stopped by Spicer's today to talk with someone and browse their selection.
I have 2 kids taking music lessons. I have been very impressed with all of the teachers thus far. Spicer's has very flexible lesson times, and I love their policy that allows you to "bank" a lesson if you are sick.
Excellent staff, knowledgeable staff, and the most surprising part is that they are all friendly. I’ve been a musician for 40 years and this store is nothing like others that try to treat beginners like they aren’t worthy. You will not have anybody acting like you are bothering them with questions.
Spicers music is an awesome music store. I always try to shop local instead of the big box music store. Awesome staff- Brett was such a great guy.He is very knowledgeable about the guitars and amps. He never pressured us to buy a particular guitar for our son.
Selling or trading gear at Spicer's Music
Spicer's Music comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
Lessons at Spicer's Music
Reviews and the store's own info mention lessons at Spicer's Music. If you're signing up a beginner (or restarting yourself), a quick call ahead answers the three things that matter: which instruments they teach, whether the schedule has openings at the time you actually need, and what a first lesson costs. There's no wrong first guitar — a good teacher will happily work with whatever you walk in with, and a shop that teaches usually keeps affordable starter instruments and rentals on hand for exactly this reason.
