From the reviews
Steve is my go to Luthier. I play with the Virginia symphony and he is the only guy I take my bass to. He is incredibly knowledgeable and does fantastic work. Highly recommend it!
My Rudolph Deutsch fiddle was way overdue for a luthier looksee and my instructor highly recommended Angelico’s Violins. When she played her violin in my lesson I stopped and just exclaimed how marvelous it sounded. So, I drove from Williamsburg to Chesapeake for drop off.
I rented a violin from here and it was a great experience. The staff was very welcoming. The rental prices are reasonable. I will definitely be back as my son will be in band next year. They also offer piano lessons which I am looking into now. Thank you for such a kind and pleasant rental experience.
Went here to get my violin’s fingerboard glued back in. They finished it in less than a week. EXTREMELY SATISFIED with the work (it’s their specialty, after all). Don and staff were very accommodating. 100/10! 🎻🙌
Lessons at Angelico Violins
Reviews and the store's own info mention lessons at Angelico Violins. If you're signing up a beginner (or restarting yourself), a quick call ahead answers the three things that matter: which instruments they teach, whether the schedule has openings at the time you actually need, and what a first lesson costs. There's no wrong first guitar — a good teacher will happily work with whatever you walk in with, and a shop that teaches usually keeps affordable starter instruments and rentals on hand for exactly this reason.
