I had a violin bow that needed re-hair, knew it had other things wrong too. Mr Alexander Guth in my presence dismantled the and show me all its shortcomings. He rationally discussed the options for repairs and costs.
I came for repairing cello. It took quite a time for me to find the shop. It located on the third floor of 1561 and the you could find a AZG sign posted above the ring bell. He is definitely an expert with patience. Asked my preference and explained what he did. Very nice job.
After my cello endpin came loose from its housing the day before I needed it for a rehearsal, Alex very kindly talked me through the process over the phone of refitting the collar to avoid having to trek out to him.
