From the reviews
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Beacock Music in Eugene, Oregon, and I must say the customer service was outstanding! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly and felt right at home. I brought in my Goya 1957 Birchwood model guitar, unsure about what kind of strings it needed.
Guitar tech rockstar Frankie Flandorffer hooked me up! I bought a Leo Jaymz Popcaster (imagine if Yamaha did a Tele instead of the Pacifica)and a paisley bridge and control plate and he installed them for me! He custom cut the clear pickguard to fit the after market tone plate and flipped it upside down for me.
Amazing store! They come down to roseburg high often, and are always pleasant to see. I got a clarinet from them and the staff was very helpful and kind! Reasonable prices, great selection, not much more you could ask for! Definitely the best music shop I have been to
I just had the best experience here! I only came in for a novelty tiny harmonica to replace one I had that no longer worked. They didn't have anymore, but Frankie took time to try to fix mine! It was a fun experience to see inside the harmonica. Unfortunately it didn't work, but the effort and his attitude were great.
Lessons at Beacock Music
Reviews and the store's own info mention lessons at Beacock Music. If you're signing up a beginner (or restarting yourself), a quick call ahead answers the three things that matter: which instruments they teach, whether the schedule has openings at the time you actually need, and what a first lesson costs. There's no wrong first guitar — a good teacher will happily work with whatever you walk in with, and a shop that teaches usually keeps affordable starter instruments and rentals on hand for exactly this reason.
