From the reviews
This place is great! Their luthier is awesome and very affordable. They have an awesome dance/performance hall. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I live over an hour away, and this is now my go-to shop to have my banjo and guitars worked on. They got it done in like a week. I can't recommend this place enough
My husband and I went there for line dancing lessons and dancing to awesome music played by a DJ. The people there were so nice and we had a blast! I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys alcohol free, family friendly and wholesome fun.
The Slow Jam ... awesome! Great for all level guitar, banjo, mandolin fiddle, ...players. good, good people. My first time, I will have pix next time.
Bill’s is an amazing place to come hear bluegrass music! Hear great shows for only $5 or $10, bring your instrument to do some picking yourself, and enjoy the warm hospitality and family-friendly atmosphere. As a performing band, we absolutely loved playing here and can’t wait to come back in October!!
Lessons at Bill's Music Shop & Pickin' Parlor
Reviews and the store's own info mention lessons at Bill's Music Shop & Pickin' Parlor. If you're signing up a beginner (or restarting yourself), a quick call ahead answers the three things that matter: which instruments they teach, whether the schedule has openings at the time you actually need, and what a first lesson costs. There's no wrong first guitar — a good teacher will happily work with whatever you walk in with, and a shop that teaches usually keeps affordable starter instruments and rentals on hand for exactly this reason.
