I brought Charlie today a flugelhorn I am considering selling to see whether it needed any repairs. The horn belonged to one of my children. Charlie thoroughly looked over the instrument and advised me that it was in excellent condition. He was extremely knowledgeable and very honest.
Excellent repair work on my Alto Sax and also on the custom key-work required to repair my Lyricon. He works quickly and is an affable, knowledgeable source of information for musicians.
I decided to get back into playing my flute after a 40 year hiatus. The instrument I have was in poor shape, and being a student grade instrument had to weigh the cost of repair versus getting a new instrument of similar value. (It needed complete repadding, head cork, foot joint work and adjustments of the keys.
Charlie is amazing ! I had dented the tuning slide of my instrument and was horrified to take it to a repair shop because I place great value in precision and attention to detail - not a lot measure up in my experience.
