Not really a shop for walk-ins, despite my look-see after decades of curiosity. It's a repair shop fueled by the needs of local school bands. I happened to be in the market for a baritone horn and Art had a silver one for $200, well below the numerous ones I had lost in eBay auctions in recent days.
Small, family owned shop. Quick turn-around on repair. (I had my saxophone neck recorked.) Roadside sign is missing so may be a little difficult to find.
I truly appreciate the speed and care with which the owner repaired and renovated my daughter's oboe. This is a one-man operation, so it was all the more impressive that her instrument was fixed within a day and a half - in time for County Band! His rates are VERY reasonable.
Art does a great job with repairs at very reasonable rate. I also found out he is starting to teach repairs. The used instruments he has for sale are so good. Not real expensive either. I highly recommend this shop.
