I brought in my 1982 Ibanez Blazer bass for a pickup and nut swap and a full set up. I was thoroughly impressed with the work. He custom made the new nut, cleaned up and adjusted the entire bass, and ensured that everything from the string height to the pickup position was perfect.
I had issues with the action being way too high on my bass and Brandon quickly diagnosed the problem, explained his process and way happy to talk through other aspects of my bass to help me understand it better. Now my bass plays better than ever and i know way more about my instrument.
Brought a tele with some nasty fret buzz to Brandon, and within a few minutes he had pinpointed the issues and gave me a quote for a setup and fret level/dress that was cheaper than anywhere else in the area.
It is hard to find a great luthier in the Hampton Roads area, but Brandons work is exceptional. His professionalism and knowledge is vast - which makes any professional feel at ease when handing over their expensive toys. I will be taking my guitars to Brandon from now on for any of my repair or modification needs.
