If you have eclectic tastes for music and movies this is your place! Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff as well. Check out the new location on Woodbury Ave!
Huge assortment of movies, CDS, albums, 📚 books & movie/music related merchandise. Owner (?) is a little gruff, rest of staff is friendly. I have had good deals on trade and purchases. My daughter likes coming here and they give her a bag 🛍️ to carry out her purchase. Touchless payment option available.
My favorite place for Christmas shopping! I can always find the perfect novelty gifts at Bull Moose for my poor unsuspecting family members! Their selection of VHS and Cassette Tapes exceed my expectations every time! An eclectic shop with super sweet staff! Wicked good entertainment!
I was happy when this store moved from Portsmouth to Newington. Plenty of free parking and a larger store. Great place to trade in used DVDs/Blu-rays and get store credit. Clean and bright, with everything very well organized.
Selling or trading gear at Bull Moose
Bull Moose comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
