From the reviews
Angela and Ernest helped me discord hidden gems for prices I wouldn’t find ANYWHERE ELSE! In addition Ernest repairs watches and creates custom watches that as worth the attention 😉! Great expertise and experience and I’d highly recommend!
This store is wonderful. There employee Annie is amazing and her costumer service is off the charts, highly recommend you going to her if you need a jewelry loan or even if your looking to pawn any other items for that matter even purchase something off the floor or wether your just browsing as well.
I've been going here from the time they opened, and 1st. I've never met an Owner like Scott. I watched how he treats his employees. He created a family type atmosphere with them and his customer's. Erick, Annie, Earnest, Jose, and Angela Gives great customer service, but what's even better.
This is the best pawn shop I have ever been to. The Manager Annie is very friendly and professional. very helpful and make sure she handle any concerns a customer may have. I’ve been shopping with them for years! I highly recommend if you haven’t been to this pawn shop you stop by and check them out.
Selling or trading gear at Cohen Brothers Coin & Pawn - Calumet City
Cohen Brothers Coin & Pawn - Calumet City comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
