From the reviews
I’ve always had good experiences shopping at Value Pawn! Linda and the rest of the staff had always showed me good customer service and willing to give me the best prices! I will continue to shop at Value Pawn! So Linda and the rest of the staff keep up the good work!
They actually send you text reminders about your loan and even give you a courtesy call the day of letting you know - which I appreciate with everything I have going on. No other place does that! They also honored the original price I was quoted even though the computer was saying less.
Alexandra, was a great help attentive and great personality and costumer service above and beyond have gone to other similar shops but nothing like with her she was Great will be sure to come back again and again someone give her a raise !!!!!!
They are really cool here, diva and Alex are super nice and super helpful. Diva always extremely helpful and very professional, she help me buy a new ps5. 1000/10 would definitely recommend over and over again they have everything you could possibly be looking for here.
Selling or trading gear at Value Pawn-Calumet City
Value Pawn-Calumet City comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
