Just had my Epiphone SG set up from Phil just one of many he’s done for me and one more time I couldn’t be happier the way my guitar feels and sounds. Phil is a true professional and it shows. The time and detail he puts into his work is priceless. Just dropped off my Stratocaster for its regular tune up.
As a collector and player, I've used various Luthiers from NYC to NH over the years. I recently met Phil and left him a classic R4 that needed a small wiring repair and a "set up". We had a brief conversation and discussed my preferences and costs. I got this R4 back and was blown away!!!
I am *extremely picky* about work on my guitars, and specifically about fretwork. My usual NYC guy was too far backed up to take on a fret job, so I tried someone local and I was hugely disappointed. I did a ton more research and decided to give Phil a try, even though I was apprehensive.
I've used Phil D'Angelo for well over ten years. I've had fret jobs as well as general setups done on most all of my guitars, and never came away less then 110% satisfied.
