What's on the wall
“We’re avid cassette collectors so to have everything by genre and in alphabetical order was a nice reprieve from the typical jumble you find at other stores.”
“I placed a second order the other day as I saw a used cd I wanted.”
“it is a gay christian folk group from Canada called Hidden Cameras.”
From the reviews
They just moved to a new location and it is stunning! The new location looks vibrant! I love all the records everywhere and upstairs on the second floor where their CDs are and it looks like a library for CDs. The staff is always there to answer questions if you need them too!
i have been coming to this store for years, bought countless cds, records, blind boxes, dvds, posters, etc. this is my #1 go to for my physical media. there truly is something for everyone. everything is priced so well and the staff is extremely friendly, welcoming, and easy to talk to.
Great local store that recently moved into an awesome new location! The selection, staff, and, vibes are spectacular. Can't wait to keep picking up vinyl from them. Absolutely check it out if you haven't already.
A visit to Darkside Records is always a good idea. Not only do they have a ton of vinyl, both new and mainstream and older and niche, but they also have an amazingly large selection of CDs (and some tapes too!). This was my first visit to this new space and it blew me away.
Selling or trading gear at Darkside Records
Darkside Records comes up for buying and trading used gear, going by their listing and players’ reviews. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
