From the reviews
I ended up purchasing an acoustic guitar from a certain overseas website because I thought the deal was too good. I had nothing but issues with the guitar after strining it and it was well beyond my skills to work on. I found this store while searching for a local Music Shop and spoke with Terry.
I went to Terry for an acoustic guitar set up, and I am beyond pleased with the experience. He is kind and knowledgeable. He did a great job with the service I asked for, but he also went the extra mile to be sure my guitar is at its best. His prices were great, and it was easy to schedule online.
Brought my 14 year old daughter in to look at guitars and the owners Terry and his wife greeted us with smiles... Terry tuned the 12 string my daughter was interested in and she then played and sang a couple songs.. We then told a few stories and had a great time.
I brought a guitar in that needed some work and Terry was very knowledgeable, helpful, and reasonably priced. There are also a lot of great guitars for sale there that are super affordable!
Selling or trading gear at Dirty Ragz Music
Dirty Ragz Music comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
