From the reviews
They always greet you with a smile. They're always willing to help you figure out what you're looking for. (Even if you're not going to buy there that day, they will help you with any of your musical needs) they offer a great range of instruments both nee and used guitars, (acoustic and electric) basses, amps, drums,…
The staff is knowledgeable and uses a hands on approach and they offer a more dynamic selection of brands than in years past. I feel they are a blessing to have in my community where there is a wealth of talented minds and musicians and without DP we would have no solution to accommodate our everyday needs but to…
Just dropped by to grab some guitar strings, but the staff were all very helpful and didn't hover while I checked the place out. Not a huge selection, but they definitely have anything you might need in a pinch. I was happy to see that Lewistown had a place to pick up some new strings.
Love the personal friendly knowledgeable staff and customer service. They truly treat customers like friends or family with respect and support. They arent pushy and invasive trying to get you to make purchase and answer all questions to the honest knowledge they have not to the knowledge of their money drawer.
Selling or trading gear at DP's Music Center
DP's Music Center comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
