Drum Center is a drummers dream, absolutely amazing. Any type of percussion made.... it's here. The selection is amazing and the staff was very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable and not pushy to make a sale. There is a drum museum upstairs which is incredible and interesting.
This place is a drumming HEAVEN! After 15 year of only hearing stories about it, I finally had a chance to stop by and walk in. Plan on spending at least 1 hour inside. The store has multiple floors and it’s set up like a museum, with real drum kits from legends such as Mike Mangini (see my photos).
In a world of increasing Guitar Center, Sweetwater and stores of the like (that are great in their own right - ), DCP is a diamond in the ruff. A Genuine Drum Shop, run by knowledgeable drummers, that still has that “mom and pop store” vibe.
This is a serious place. I traveled here to listen to and play several kits. They had them all in stock. Their staff spend hours with me setting them up side by side, changing heads, pulling things from the warehouse and letting me play and listen. The staff were all excellent and all were drummers.
