From the reviews
Wonderful record store. Tons of cassettes, CDs, DVDs and vinyl. Met the nice proprietors, Tony and his son Jamie. Could spend hours here, digging. It’s packed! Plus they have guitars and guest and toys. Go!!
Groovy vibes in here- very cool staff. When you walk in, it's like you're transported into another decade- perfect for today's bleak circumstances! It was slightly difficult to navigate the store and with how much they have in this space, I found myself squeezing or being squeezed by other patrons trying to also…
This store has a fantastic selection of items to choose from. I was very impressed with the variety available. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, making my shopping experience even better. They were patient and knowledgeable, answering all my questions with a smile.
This is a great place for music lovers of all types. Be prepared to spend hours in this store. This store has been collecting and selling for 18 years. The staff is beyond great, you can truly see they love music. If you love music in vinyl, cassette, CD, and video make it a point to stop at this store.
Selling or trading gear at Ear Food the Record Store
Ear Food the Record Store comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
