I bought some of my favorite gear at Encore over the years. Chad is always full of helpful insight that you don't often get other places and he spends as much time with you as you need to understand the situation. I also have my amps repaired there and it's super reasonable.
The place is oozing a "forgotten treasures" and there are interesting and valuable little gems all over the store. Reminds me a bit of The Book Trader but for musical instruments. Chad sold me on a guitar without being pushy or arrogant.
I've been going to Encore for about 12 years, and a lot of my most-used gear was purchased there, because Chad had the best deal. Some of the items are priced low because they may need some work, but nothing that isn't obvious from trying it out.
