From the reviews
Out of all the small local music shops in the area, Evokution music has been the most friendly in terms of treating their customers. Weather your bringing in a 100 or 5000 dollar guitar for repairs etc they treat you with kindness respect and listen to what you want done.
Great local used-gear music shop. Mitch was super nice in selecting some classical guitar strings and even took my info down just in case a particular instrument I was looking for would ever pop up, he’d give me a ring.
John has a great attitude and shows sincere interest in your ambitions and accomplishments with your talent. He truly loves his work in the used gear market place. The vintage items cant be over looked and in most cases what will keep me coming back. This shop is truly a diamond in the rough.
I love this place! The staff: Mitchell, Jon, Baron, are always great. Helpful, understanding, fair, reasonable. I've purchased, traded and sold countless items with them over the last several years, and God-willing, I will continue to do business with them for many years to come. Thanks for all you do!
Selling or trading gear at Evolution Music
Evolution Music comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
Lessons at Evolution Music
Reviews and the store's own info mention lessons at Evolution Music. If you're signing up a beginner (or restarting yourself), a quick call ahead answers the three things that matter: which instruments they teach, whether the schedule has openings at the time you actually need, and what a first lesson costs. There's no wrong first guitar — a good teacher will happily work with whatever you walk in with, and a shop that teaches usually keeps affordable starter instruments on hand for exactly this reason.
