From the reviews
I recently picked up a QSC K12.2 from George’s Pawn Shop, and a 5-star rating honestly feels like an understatement. From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and encouraged me to thoroughly test the gear.
I went into the shop looking for a ring for my wife! Our 16th anniversary! I truly had heard, but didn’t realize how much gold had went up! So I thought I was out of my league! But George and his associates would not give up until we found the perfect anniversary set, yes 2 rings, and even worked with me!
This was my first experience at a pawn shop so I wasn't quite sure how it worked. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Ginger was helping me and she's the sweetest and wasn't sure if she would be able to help me.
I had a great experience with them today ! Aaron helped me with an iPad sell that I won. I had no where else to go 30 mins til closing . I really appreciate the offer and their transparency. They offered me pretty close to what I asked for. I met three employees all were great .
Selling or trading gear at George's Pawn Shop
George's Pawn Shop comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
