Awesome hidden gem in Utah County! Staff is fun and nice. I love getting thrifty and adding records to my collection. It’s a must stop by place for anyone! Buying reused clothes helps save the environment and also helps save your checking account. Shop small businesses everyone!
Fantastic place. I discovered it by complete accident when looking for thrift stores around the area. However, I'd say this is more than a thrift store, it's more of a music/record store and it's awesome!
I love this store! Everytime I go in there is something new. They have a great selection of men's and women's clothing. They even have racks of vintage hats. My favorite part is the large selection of both vintage and new vinyl records. You can get lost in there for a long time.
Get Thrifty is the perfect mix of vintage style and modern classics. I’m obsessed and the workers are so nice. They have great prices and sales as well. The coolest thing of all is their record wall for all my vinyl collectors out there. A must go to for any thrift queen!
Selling or trading gear at Get Thrifty / Provo's Vintage Groove
Get Thrifty / Provo's Vintage Groove comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
