I needed my strings replaced on my Washburn beginner mandolin. A friend of mind recommended Phillip at Gold Tone. Not wanting to go to a big box music store, I took my instrument here. I am very new to music and playing the mandolin. Phillip was super knowledgeable, friendly and unintimadating to a newbie like me.
Best guitar shop in Charlotte! Philip was very thorough and went above and beyond on my guitar setup. He fixed an electrical issue that the previous guy who serviced it couldn’t quite fix. My guitar has never sounded better and it’s easier to play. I feel like I got a new guitar.
Gold Tone Workshop was referred to me by a local musician. I was in need of some work on the set up on my Stratocaster. The neck had too much relief due to a stuck truss rod. I was impressed with the high level of professional service and technical skill exhibited by Philip at GTW.
The team at Gold Tone Workshop is top notch. Not only are they knowledgeable they are fast and efficient! I really appreciated their help on my project which was a little different than their normal work. If you need musical instrument repair or service they are the best in town. 10 out of 10.
