From the reviews
Amazing place that everyone should support!!! The staff is super friendly, nice, and helpful. One of the managers can't remember his name (I should really learn their names since I'm in one or twice a week) changed my life by showing me how to play records (vinyl) better on my cheap record player.
We used to have one in Logan but never had the chance to go. I knew of this one so we stopped in to get the new Gorillaz album. We left with lots of music. Great experience, friendly staff, and had the artists we looked for in both vinyl and CD. Super fun to get new records of albums we had in tue past on cd or tape.
I really loved this record store! I was able to find so many things that I've been looking for forever. It's also so organized which is crazy because most record stores I've been to are not organized. The staff is so lovely and kind which is ALWAYS a plus.
I stopped by Graywhale to grab a gift card for my son’s birthday, and I honestly forgot how much I love this place. They easily have one of the best vinyl selections around, and the prices are actually reasonable, which is getting harder to find these days.
Selling or trading gear at Graywhale Entertainment
Graywhale Entertainment comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
